Last year, Netflix gave the green light for the production of the second season of “Squid Game.” Recently, it was announced that fans can expect the show’s return in 2024. This information came from Netflix’s quarterly financial report, where they informed investors about the upcoming release.

Netflix also mentioned the release of the second season of “The Diplomat,” the second season of “Empress,” and the third season of “Bridgerton” in 2024. Currently, we know that the first part of “Bridgerton” Season 3 will be released on May 16, 2024, and the second part on June 13, 2024.

The second season of “Squid Game” will arrive approximately three years after the first season premiered in September 2021. The first season became a global phenomenon, amassing over 1.6 billion hours of viewing in its first 28 days. It was the first Netflix series to be watched by over 100 million viewers on its release day, making it the most-watched series on Netflix.

Lee Jung-jae will return as Seong Gi-hun, Lee Byung-hun as Hwang In-ho/The Front Man, Wi Ha-joon as Officer Hwang Jun-ho, and Gong Yoo as the recruiter. New cast members include Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Park Gyu-young, Jo Yu-ri, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Lee Jin-wook, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, and Won Ji-an.

Hwang Dong-hyuk will return to direct and executive produce the second season of “Squid Game.” Production for the second season will begin soon, but fans should not expect its release until the end of 2024.
