The movie Joker 3

It seems that the chances of a “Joker 3” movie being made are very slim. Todd Phillips, the director of the previous two Joker films, mentioned in an interview with Variety that there are currently no plans for a third installment. He enjoyed working on the first two films, but he believes the Joker’s story has come to an end.

The film “Joker,” starring Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role, was released in 2019 and received widespread acclaim from critics and audiences alike. This film won numerous awards, including the Oscar for Best Actor for Phoenix. The success of this film led Todd Phillips and his team to consider making a sequel.

The second installment, titled “Joker: Folie à Deux,” is currently in production and is set to be released in 2024. In this film, Joaquin Phoenix reprises his role as the Joker, and Lady Gaga joins the story as the Joker’s lover and criminal partner. This film will be presented as a musical, which is a unique and different approach compared to the first film.

However, Todd Phillips has stated in recent interviews that the likelihood of a third installment is very low, and he has no plans to continue the series. He believes that the Joker’s story has concluded and does not need to be extended further.

As a result, while fans of the Joker might be hoping for a third film, it seems they will have to be content with just these two films. Of course, plans can always change, and new decisions might be made in the future, but for now, there are no plans for a “Joker 3.”
