Xiaomi 15 Pro borrows the telephoto camera from Xiaomi 13 Ultra

It is expected that the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro will be officially unveiled next month with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.

According to leaked information on Weibo, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will borrow the telephoto camera from the Xiaomi 13 Ultra and will use the Sony IMX858 sensor like it. This camera has a focal length of 120mm and provides users with 5x optical zoom

Last year, the Xiaomi 14 Pro lens had a focal length of 75mm and its optical zoom was limited to 3.2x. This means we will see a noticeable generational improvement.

The IMX858 sensor has a size of 1/2.51 inches, 0.7-micron pixels, a resolution of 50 megapixels, and uses a Quad Bayer color filter. It is likely that the main cameras (with a variable aperture of f/1.4 to f/2.5) and the ultra-wide cameras of the Xiaomi 15 Pro will also have a resolution of 50 megapixels

Based on previous reports, the latest Xiaomi phone will feature an OLED display with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is likely to have a special titanium edition with a weight of 220 grams and a thickness of 8.5 millimeters.

Other potential specifications of the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro include 90W fast charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, NFC, IP68 certification, and an infrared transmitter. Exact pricing details for these phones are not yet available
